Why shocked by high rate of road deaths Minister?

Lets say you are a father of a 16 year old boy who is always wearing bling bling despite the fact that you are not employed. You don't ask your child where he gets the money. One day you get home to find your wife crying and you ask her she tells you that the kid has been arrested for stealing bling bling at a nearby shop. Will you be shocked by the news or will you not? If you don't get shocked, you knew the consequences of your kid being in love with bling bling and if you are shocked then you were ignorant of the consequences.

Two politicians in SA fall under the former category: Ignorance. In a country like SA where politicians and celebrities are reported to driver under the influence of alcohol, driver's licenses are for sale by driver's instructors which forces people to drive without licenses, roads are deterioration as fast as a lightning (See table below) and traffic officers are known to be recipient of bribes, the deaths over the weekend should not be a surprise to the Minister.

So, Minister please spare us your shock. Instead tackle the courses that have caused these unnecessary accidents that could have been avoided. Investigate the reports that there have been incomplete work which have been done by companies that are linked to politicians. Encourage your political party to get rid of BEE/AA on essential services such as Engineering in Municipalities because we know how lack of skills here has contributed to the poor road conditions we have now...simply hiring retired Engineers will not help or maybe make your department to be run by competent people....which start with you hiring competent people.

And ehh lastly Mr. Minister, could you please ensure that you not only enforce good driving behavior during holidays? Dont say there is no money...money is there we know.....if you can have the monies to go see the WC matches, surely you do have the monies to ensure that lives are saved.
